We understand that plans can change! To help us keep classes and studio time running smoothly, please review our cancellation policy below.
Open Studio
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your booking will receive a full refund or may be rescheduled.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your booking are non-refundable.
- If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the session.
Workshops & Classes
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before the workshop will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made 3–6 days before the workshop will receive store credit for the workshop fee.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the workshop are non-refundable, as supplies have been prepared and your spot has been reserved.
- If you're unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please contact us in advance so we can update the attendee information.
If Brightside Fabric Co needs to cancel or reschedule a class due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment, you'll be offered the choice of a full refund or a transfer to another session.

It’s time to make some seriously good pants.
The Bracken Barrel Pants are the perfect combination of comfy and cool, with a relaxed barrel-leg shape that makes them an easy wardrobe favourite. Come spend a Saturday sewing with us at Brightside and leave with a pair of pants made by you.
This is a hands-on garment sewing workshop where we’ll take you through the Bracken Barrel Pants pattern step-by-step. You’ll learn new techniques, get plenty of one-on-one help, and hopefully have a few laughs along the way.

No previous pants-making experience required. If you can use a sewing machine and are ready to give garment sewing a go, we’ll help you take it from fabric to fabulous.
All you need to bring is yourself and a water bottle. We’ll take care of the fabric, pattern, machines, tools and know-how.
Come spend your Saturday sewing, hang out with fellow makers, and leave with a brand-new pair of pants that you made yourself.
